Company Information

When everyone claims to be “the leading MBA admissions company,” do words matter anymore? Who are you supposed to believe?

To be frank, we don’t pay a ton of attention to the field. Our objective can be summed up in one word: “Win.”

We don’t mess around. Our temperament comes from––in all candor––age and experience and enormous success. We keep a lower profile than others, but that’s part of our story. Our word of mouth from former clients is so powerful, we have the luxury to remain focused on the work, rather than on promoting ourselves. (As future business people, just think about how cool that is.) We’re able to dedicate all our time to helping our clients win by getting into elite business schools, and setting them up for success well beyond. If that kind of professional formula sounds like a good match for what you’re all about, come meet us. Let’s find out if we’ll click.

A lot of firms sport elite former Adcoms. And elite MBAs. And eye-popping stats and success and reviews. So…

Yes. If we were in your shoes, our eyes would glaze over, too. But you’ll do your due diligence––and we encourage it. Picking the right coach is important. In the end, you’ll have a strong sense of who’s for real and who’s all flair but no substance. Who offers a sincere, intelligent assessment versus who will prey on your anxiety. Our advice: put together a shortlist of firms, and go meet as many as you need. Get a feel. If you’re truly top MBA material, we’re confident you’ll recognize the unmistakable signature of experience, excellence and sincerity. In your bones.

Cool, but what’s The MBA Exchange’s… thing? What, if anything, makes your firm different?

  • A self-assuredness and focus that comes from experience and a roster of true professionals.
  • No bullsh*t. [Caring? Yes. Determined? Yes. Coddling? Not so much.]
  • Genuinely good, smart, decent, solid people.*

[*As you get older and wiser, you start to realize how important this is, and more interestingly… how rare. Our M.O. at The MBA Exchange since our inception has been to only invite not just the smartest and most accomplished professionals onto our team, but also only those people who are genuinely “good eggs.” People we genuinely like. People we find to be mature and dependable and committed to others’ success. It may seem like a strange differentiator to call out, but honestly, that’s the one that may matter most at the end of the day.]

Menu of Services and Associated Costs

We offer three different packages to accommodate individuals with different needs and budgets. Our Gold and Platinum packages include everything under the sun: deep strategic guidance plus comprehensive essay development, along with all the supporting elements such as interview prep, resume and LOR support, and unlimited access to your MBA consultant. We also offer a more economical Silver package (starting at $3,450) for those who prefer a more targeted experience: deep strategy plus essay development (and the flexibility to add on any individual elements as needed).

  • Grace Helped Me Get Into HBS
I worked with Grace on 2 top-tier MBA applications and was accepted into HBS. Walking into the business school application process, I was unsure of how to create a clear, concise and unique "story". Grace's creative approach and years of experience were an integral part of guiding me through the process. She pushed me to brainstorm deeply and tie together my life/career experiences into an authentic and unique story. She recognized where I had gaps and had advice on how to fill them, and she helped identify specific experiences that would be critical to highlight throughout the application. In addition, her years of experience provided me with a sense of security - I knew I could trust her guidance and could go to her if ...

  • Grace Helped Me Get Into Stanford GSB
    4 years ago
I had initially applied to GSB in fall 2019 but was unfortunately waitlisted. Thankfully, with the help of Grace, I successfully navigated the wait pool and was ultimately offered a place in round 2 admissions. Grace's honest and insightful feedback and brainstorming sessions helped me identify my weaknesses and successfully craft an update letter that ultimately got me in. She helped me clean up the rough ends I had left in my application and refine my "story" to make it more coherent and compelling. I would definitely recommend Grace to anyone, especially someone that needs some help crafting a successful story that differentiates them from all the other candidates.

  • Grace Helped Me Get Into Booth!
Grace has been an amazing advisor throughout the MBA application process. As a first-time applicant I was nervous about navigating the highly competitive landscape, and she helped me through expertly. Grace was able to push me to think about my own experiences in a new way and talk about them effectively in my essays and application overall! I'm very thankful I had her to guide me through this process and my admission.

  • Grace Helped Me Get into HBS!
I worked with Grace on 3 top tier MBA applications and have ultimately been accepted to HBS. Being a reapplicant and having worked with other MBA consultants before, I knew going into the process what kind of consultant I wanted. Since I have a PE/IB background, I wanted a consultant that would be strong at the storytelling part and Grace’s marketing background was something that caught my attention. Being Asian myself, I also thought that she would understand my cultural background as I wanted that to be an important aspect of my application. She helped me turn my numerous individual life stories into one cohesive and eloquent storyline that gave admissions a sense of my impact at my job, what I value and my cultural background. ...

  • Best advisor to have on your side!
I was referred to Grace through an acquaintance who had received admission to HBS with Grace's help. I wanted to work with the best consultant, especially because I was planning to apply to only the top 3 schools, and working with Grace was definitely the right choice to make! She made the entire application process more structured, less daunting and even enjoyable. She helped me learn more about myself through brainstorming sessions, pushed me with honest & open feedback, and was always very responsive to any questions, including during those holiday periods before Round 2 deadlines. I just finished submitting my applications about a week ago and I'm happy & grateful that I was able to work with Grace. For anyone who is looking ...

  • Asks the tough questions, pushes in all of the right places
    6 years ago
While Grace ensured that I remained confident throughout the process, she drove me to examine and challenge myself more intensely than I would otherwise have done to ensure that I would present myself as compellingly as possible in my application. She enabled me to recognize the key attributes of my experiences and qualifications that would make my application shine. Despite her poignantly critical feedback, she also provided regular doses of self-confidence, especially in the few days leading up to and following my interviews. In the end, I managed to secure admission into both Stanford GSB and HBS, and I look forward to enrolling at the GSB in September—a dream come true.

  • Experienced, Professional, and Trustworthy!
Grace is a fantastic consultant who has helped me in my MBA applications since early this year and now I am accepted to HBS! What makes Grace such an exceptional consultant is her ability to identify strengths in others: as we walked through different stories/examples in my life, she pointed out my unique selling points that I should highlight in my applications. In every stage of the application process - from brainstorming examples to preparing for interviews, she's always there to help. Overall, Grace is a very experienced, professional and trustworthy adviser. I really couldn't have gotten this far without her!

  • Wonderful experience, wonderful results
    7 years ago
Grace and I worked together on my application this winter and now I am heading to Stanford GSB in the fall. I truly don't know how I could have managed this process without her thoughtful and diligent help. I came to Grace without a lot of background knowledge on the application process and with not a lot of time to apply (I began the process in late November to apply in early January). She created a plan and timeline that matched my schedule but still made me feel confident I could complete everything by the application deadlines, something I was not initially sure I could do! She was always responsive, provided really thoughtful and productive feedback, and helped me shape all my ideas into one ...
